Ron Finke: President
With 16 years of experience, Ron founded Stewardship Capital in December, 1997. His motivation for starting his own firm was his strong desire to help grow and protect people’s hard-earned money, help plan for the future and benefit client’s favorite charitable causes when able.
Ron is a lifelong resident of Independence, only leaving for college. He was a Curators Scholar, University of Missouri; he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stanford University, Doctor of Jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University of Law and received the Charted Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from The American College, Bryn Mawr, PA.
As President of Stewardship Capital, Ron is responsible for strategic planning, investment research oversight, tactical investment allocation and writing of client investment communications and public investment articles.
Ron has a great appreciation for his community and enjoys picking up a paint brush or shovel to help local schools in the annual Independence School District Project Shine event. Other involvements include: Estate Planning Society of KC, Past President; member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals; Independence Chamber of Commerce; Independence School District, Board of Directors, Past President; Independence Rotary Club, Vice President; Missouri Bar Association; Truman Heartland Community Foundation, Board of Directors and various committees; lifetime member of Million Dollar Round Table and Noland Road Baptist Church, Bible Teacher and Deacon.
Ron is happily married to his wife, Karen, who he says, “is the best interior designer in the country who does not have a TV show.” Ron and Karen are the proud parents of three grown children, three grandchildren with one on the way.
If Ron had a million dollars to spend any way he chose:
He would invest in charitable enterprises through a donor-advised fund and microloan programs, aiming toward making a difference for eternity.
